About Us

About Our Cottage

The cottage can sleep seven people and is perfect for families or groups of friends of all ages. There are two separate private bedrooms, both with queen sized beds. There is also a twin bed in the loft and a pullout couch (double memory foam mattress) in the living room. There is also a full kitchen, laundry area, living room, dedicated office space, outdoor patio space and a fire pit. The cabin is equipped with hi speed WIFI (318 Mbps) and an HDTV with premium cable and Chromecast.

There is a large driveway which connects the main road and can fit several cars. Guests will have access to the entire cottage! This includes the patio, a BBQ grill and the fire pit.

The Surroundings

The cottage is positioned on a hilltop in the outskirts of Charlottetown. It is surrounded by an acre of lawn and then surrounding farm fields. even though there are houses in the distance, it still seems as if you’re in the middle of nowhere. There is a motion sensor light at the end of the driveway and solar lights outlining the entire length of the driveway in the summer. During the day there are gorgeous 360 degree views of the surrounding farmland. The West River is also visible to the North. There are unobstructed views of sunrise and sunset and the stars are amazingly bright on a clear night.

Other things to note

In the warmer weather there is nearby access to boat put ins. The closest is the West River boat ramp- a less than 5 minute drive. A perfect place to kayak or stand up paddle board from.

The Confederation trail is also a great place to bike or hike and is only a 10 minute drive.

The road and driveway are accessible year round. In the winter I love to cross-country ski and snowshoe to the front door. Groomed cross-country trails are only minutes away. I can picture myself coming back from skiing and curling up on the sofa with a bag of storm chips!!

If your preference is downhill skiing, the cottage is also only a 20 minute drive to the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale. The cottage would also be a great home base for the Canada  Games!

About The Host

Hi, I’m your host Sue. Micah and Frankie are my dogs, and my much better halves, ha ha!! Though I’m originally from Ontario, I’ve always been drawn to the Maritimes. First Nova Scotia and now the Island. I am currently working as a veterinarian at the Atlantic Vet College, but I enjoy being able to unwind in such a peaceful place. Red sand beaches, hiking trails, boating, skiing, and a winery within walking distance are all options… depending on the time of year of course! Humble Pie Cottage is my chance to share this idyllic setting with you. Enjoy!
